Atlanta,Georgia hospital No more

By Med stu - Wednesday, October 12, 2011 6 Comments
For anyone who was hoping to do their clinical rotation in Atlanta, Georgia, we were told that SJSM has lost that hospital so students can't do their clinical rotations in Atlanta anymore. The advisor told us that the hospital decided to drop student from all the hospital except Ross cause its one of their main hospitals, so currently they are working on it so we should not loose hope, and most probably in a year or less they will have the hospital back again for anyone to do their clinicals there.

On the positive end we were told that SJSM is working hard to get alot more clinical spots for the students, the adviser mentioned a couple of names i don't remember them, but they were quite a few so hopefully in the upcoming month we can hear more about those spots and be able to do core rotations in a lot more places.

  1. Maybe that's why they raised tuition again - to pay for some more rotation spots.

  3. Not really sure, why they raised the tuition fee but i am not too happy about that, cause lately our tuition fee really went up from the initial time.

  5. SJSM admins only work hard thinking how and when to raise tuition rather than working on getting new rotation sites.

  6. It's interesting that we have the two biggest MD1 and Pre-Med 1 classes the school has ever had and they raised tuition. Guess they saw it as a gold mine and couldn't resist.
