Most of the time, you will be studying histology, it has a lot of information to understand and memorize. Here are some studying technique that people used in my class.
Method # 1
Read the key points from each slide and make your own notes, then study from the notes. Go over the teacher's lecture notes again on the weekend.
Method # 2
Read the lecture understand the concept without memorizing anything the 1st time, then go over the lecture again and memorize what you can. One problem with this method is that it takes a lot of time.
Method # 3
Understand and memorize as you go along, without writing anything.
These are just small ideas, you should use what you are comfortable with to help you understand the concepts and memorize.
It did take me sometime to get the routing going but after a while it becomes a daily routine and things a lot more easier to understand.
In MD 1 histology is basically the hardest course and will consume most of your time so concentrate on it, and maybe leave the other subjects for the weekend if you don't have time during the weekdays. But i highly suggest you go over the lecture once after class maybe during lunch or time you have been classes.
Also, read the BRS text books if you don't understand a concept and make sure to do the Questions on Exam Master ( you will learn about this program during class) before going for the exams.
BRS books that help as a secondary study source:
Other than that, best of Luck .
