MD 1 Story Line

MD 1 started off great, block 1 wasn't too hard, courses like embryology, ethics and anatomy, you can ace it even with studying at the last moment. Histology is the main subject which requires alot of hard work and time, but still overall it wasn't too hard in block 1. Block 2 and 3 are the main killer, there is a lot of course material for each and every subject, so it requires atleast 6-7 hour of studying every hour, especially for histology. Histology is a subject in which there is a lot of information but most of the information requires you to memorize things, which makes things even harder, so alot of time is required for histology just to pass the course. Embryology surprising gets really tough in block 2, 3 and 4; a huge chunk of the class was passing the exam after a huge curve was given. Ethics was a easy course all year long, and the most interesting was anatomy because you got to exactly see on the cadaver everything, and it felt like the most practical one in our career as a doctor.
Our histology class at the end of the term, the people that failed are given another chance to take a retake exam which is suppose to be easier and test your general concept.

  1. Could you please send me syllabi, old exams, and or old notes you may still have. (drop box maybe the best method) I would truly appreciate it.

I'l be coming to SJSM soon, and would like to prepare myself for the journey ahead.

Your blog has helped me and my family get to know more about the school, and has helped immensely. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
